Axel the Rat
Axel is the "caretaker" of a house. He lives in one room, finds renters for spare rooms and is responsible for repairs. He devotes a lot of energy to keeping the house a comfortable, livable space, although he doesn't let on how much effort he puts into it. The task of keeping the house in repair and keeping the renters happy tries his patience time after time, yet he mananges to keep a cool demener (that is - as long as there is anyone else around). It is in his best interest to keep the house calm, as his least favorite duty is finding renters. There is a comical battle between Axel's desire to keep the house rented by keeping the renters happy, keeping the house rentable, and staying perfectly calm and helpful.
